7.1: Printing to 11 x 17 paper (2 pages pe. This used to work in a previous version of Sib7, but subsequent updates changed that. Has anyone found a solution yet? Would like to print scores in booklet format, but it's impossible. There is no way to get the larger paper size to "stick" in that dialogue (nor ANY other paper size other than letter size). When I select the "page setup" dialoge (in the Sibelius print screen) and select 11x17" paper (which is available), then close the dialogue box, if I IMMEDIATELY open the Page Setup dialogue again, it has reverted to 8.5x11" paper. Our office now has a new networked Ricoh MP-C4503 printer, and I still get the same results as the old large-format printer: if I try to do booklet printing in Sibelius, I cannot get it to print 8.5x11" pages onto 11x17" paper.

Read the above threads for the full story. Has anybody else had problems with booklet printing to 11x17" paper? I'm bumping this thread to the top again, to see if anyone has found a solution.

(And it used to work fine, before the last upgrade fixing other printer issues.) Thanks for triggering an idea that might solve this.

I'm at home now but will investigate this at first opportunity at work. Is it possible that Sibelius is first seeing the default printer settings, and not even looking at whatever printer is selected? My default printer is a local USB Brother laser. However, having said that, I have NOT tried making that networked large-format printer (located WAY down the hall) my default printer. No amount of coaxing, praying, swearing, and trying all kinds of different setting has made a difference. Everything appears fine there, but as soon as I click OKAY to exit that dialogue, if I IMMEDIATELY go back into the Page Setup dialogue, it as reverted back to 8.5"x11" (letter size). But I HAVE been making the changes in the "Page setup" dialogue (not the printer properties). George, thanks for your comments and experimentation. That should be it: now click Print at the top.Ĭontact Sibelius technical help by phone (charges may apply): Choose 'Tabloid' from the list of paper sizes and click OK.

Click 'Page Setup' (towards the bottom of the list of options).ĥ. Choose '2-up' or 'Spreads' from the menu that says 'Normal'.Ĥ. Open the score I want to print 2-up on Tabloid paper.ģ. So it sounds like you must be doing something not quite right somewhere. in the score, so that those settings are retrieved when you next open that score. Gene, I do think you're missing something, I'm sorry to say!įirstly, Sibelius does save the choices you make for things like paper size, whether to print 2-up/spreads/booklets etc. Posted by Richard Vitale - 01 Feb 07:09AM 7.1: Printing to 11 x 17 paper (2 pages per sheet) It would be wonderful if the choice of paper and scaling or sizing data could be saved with the score format for those of us who always print parts from a score the same way it would save a lot of setup time. I've also noticed that the designation of paper size is not saved in the printer window, even going from one page to another it always seems to revert back to "letter". Surely there must be a fairly easy solution for this. This keeps me from having to tape pages together, which is an invitation to pages becoming separated. The ability to print to the large format paper is the whole reason I have bought wide-format printers.

I didn't have this prob-lem until I upgraded to 7.0/7.1 (I made the second upgrade very shortly after the first). Seems like no matter what settings I use, the printer spits out much smaller pages which don't use the entire sheet. The problem exists both with an HP Deskjet 9800 at school and a brand new Epson WF-7510 at home.

I have not been able to figure out how to print two pages of a part on a sheet of Tabloid (11 x 17) paper.
